Taking Do-It-Yourself to a New Level

Bryan Fawcett

Corvette enthusiast Bryan Fawcett purchased his 2007 Atomic Orange C6 in May 2013 and was looking for a project that he and his newly-retired father, Richard, could work on together.

“I wanted to find a way to maximize the power of the Corvette without destroying the engine or modifying the body. I found the E-Force Supercharger to be the most comprehensive kit available for the C6 Corvette. I downloaded the manual saw that it was only 230 steps and thought how hard can it be?

“I purchased the Edelbrock Supercharger from Mid America Motorworks and it showed up at the shipping depot 3 days later. All my friends and family thought I was crazy for tearing apart a perfectly good Corvette, and they doubted we would be able to get it put back together.

“It took us about 24 hours to complete the build. We would have been able to get it done over one weekend if it wasn't for needing the flywheel holding tool,” Bryan said. He is now the only one in Arizona who has one. “Once we got the car back together, it started the first time and I haven’t had any problems. It was a great build and really enjoyed spending time with my dad. I would like to say thanks to Mid America Motorworks for the prompt shipping and hassle-free service provided by your team every step of the way!”

Bryan’s baseline dyno was 403HP at crank and 313HP at rear wheel. His second dyno – performed about a week after the Supercharger was installed – pulled 542HP at crank and 421 at rear wheel.
